Against Hunger
For over 25 years,
Action Against Hunger has been at the forefront of the fight against hunger
and malnutrition worldwide. In the most affected countries, its teams do
their utmost day after day to ensure that people are given access to the
most basic of human rights- the right to food. Action Against Hunger brings
assistance either during the crisis itself through emergency intervention,
or afterwards through rehabilitation and sustainable development programmes.
Its activities include the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of malnutrition
and food security, agriculture and water and sanitation programmes. An
international, non-political, non-religious and not for profit making organization,
Action Against Hunger helps more than 4.2 million people in some 43 countries
around the world. And now so can you, so please promote Action Against
Hunger today. Stop
children dying from hunger now!

Aid
ActionAid is a unique partnership of people who are fighting for a world without poverty, in which every person can exercise their right to a life of dignity. We work with poor and marginalised people to help eradicate poverty by overcoming the injustice and inequity that cause it. Sponsor a child through ActionAid and you’ll help a whole community. One in ten children in the developing world die before their fifth birthday. The diseases they suffer from differ. But the cause is almost always the same. Poverty. ActionAid is working in some of the poorest areas of the world to end this cycle of despair. Child sponsorship helps local communities access safe, clean water, education, healthcare, nutrition, food and a means to generate their own income. Become a sponsor now and you’ll be helping a child, their family and their whole community. As a child sponsor, you’ll see how much you are helping through photos and messages from the child you sponsor and regular updates from local fieldworkers. 50p a day buys food for life. With just 50p a day, we can help poor families grow more food. With tools, seeds and livestock, they can put a life of hunger behind them. Help change a life for the price of a chocolate bar.Registered charity no 274467 |

Amnesty
International
In the UK
we often take our human rights for granted - without realising that others
don’t enjoy the same freedoms as we do. Amnesty International is the world’s
largest and most influential human rights organisation. For over 45 years
we have campaigned for the release of people imprisoned solely for their
peacefully held beliefs, to end torture and to protect our universal human
rights. In 2006, Amnesty reported on human rights violations in 153 countries.
By promoting awareness of human rights through our education programmes
and opposing abuses by campaigning and lobbying governments, Amnesty International
gives ordinary people a voice in which to stand up for humanity and human
rights and protect individuals wherever justice, fairness, freedom and
truth are denied. Amnesty International UK Charitable Trust is a registered
charity no. 1051681. |

Animal Rescue
International
Animal Rescue (IAR) comes to the aid of wild and domestic animals with
hands-on rescue and rehabilitation. We return rescued animals to the wild
but also provide sanctuary for animals that can’t fend for themselves.
We also assist government departments with the introduction and enforcement
of sound legislation to protect animals from cruelty and neglect. IAR specialises
in comprehensive sterilisation and inoculation programmes for stray dogs
and cats, particularly in developing countries. We have offices in the
UK and the US and ongoing projects in India, Indonesia and Malta. IAR works
to educate the public on the compassionate and humane treatment of all
animals. We use sound scientific evidence to inform our decisions and determine
the course of our rescue operations. In all that we do we aim to find lasting
solutions that benefit both animals and people. Registered charity number:
